“I work as a security guard. In the nights I go to the castle and I wait outside to make sure nobody gets in”
“What? That’s impossible. I know all of the workers.”
“Yeah you’re right you do. You know me don’t you? That is the reason that your dad has kept me around so long because I am your best friend and he knows how much my family needs the money.”
In the middle of all the confusion Alice and Jesse didn’t even notice that Chris left. He had to fulfill his mission, but what Jesse doesn’t know is that Chris was going to find Alice’s mom. He was going to find her and tell her that Alice died. Yes, it is mean but he had to impress the king.
“You know Jesse I don’t think anyone has ever done anything so nice to me.”
Then all of a sudden, out of nowhere Alice was in his arms, and she was crying. She realized just how much her dad really loved her, yeah he could always be a little better but after all that he’s gone through she was all he has left, and she really did love her dad.
“Jesse you know what we don’t need Chris’ help, we will find my mom by ourselves together.”
She grabs his hand and smiles at him.
“Okay, but first I have to ask you. Why do you want your mom so much? I know that she is your mom, but she left you, she didn’t care that you were here.”
“I just want to know why she left, for some reason I feel like she still loves me. I know that she does, and I want to know why she isn’t here.’
So, there Jesse and Alice went, they walked they were about 30 minutes behind Chris but still they couldn’t see him. He was to fast he had found the real shortcut, he had no idea what he was going to do once he found Alice’s mom but he would no disappoint the future king, this was his goal, the king promised him that he would give Chris the kingdom once he died. He really didn’t care for the future king, he actually liked King Marcus but with King Marcus he wouldn’t get the thrown once he died, so his choice was obvious. He really never had a choice.
“Jesse, can I ask you a question?” Alice had to know why he didn’t like her.
“Of course, Alice. What kind of question is that? Anything for you princess.” Jesse added a bit of sarcasm at the end.
“Oh, Whatever, ha-ha anyways… Why is it that … you don’t like me?” Alice started to get a little shy at the end.
“HA-HA-HA-HA!! Oh, silly Alice. Why in the whole wide world would you think that I didn’t like you?” Jesse was laughing so hard that he had stopped walking.
